An exciting opportunity has become available with our prestigious client who is a prominent government department. The client is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their welcoming team.

The Data Analyst Role:

Collects, organises and studies data to provide business insight. Apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation; Identify, collect and migrate data to and from a range of systems; Manage, clean, abstract and aggregate data alongside a range of analytical studies; Manipulate and link different data sets; Summarise and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format. Typical Skills: Apply basic techniques for analysis of research data and synthesis of findings. Translate and communicate accurate information to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Produce data models and understand where to use different types of data models. Understand industry-recognised data-modelling patterns and standards. Use the most appropriate medium to visualise data to tell compelling and actionable stories. Initiate actions, monitor services and identify trends to resolve problems.

What the Data Analyst Will Need:

• Knowledge of SQL

• Strong data knowledge/skills

• Ability to work with moving high volumes of complex data

• Preparing documents that have not previously existed such Data Dictionaries, Data Catalogues, Data Architecture, Business Data Model, Logical Data Model

• Public sector experience

Location Hybrid & 2 - 3 days in Manchecter Office

• Strong understanding of SQL and experience in working with large & complex datasets and data quality, implementing continuous improvement processes.
• Should have experience creating statistical data visualizations, dashboards and reports, Data cleansing, Data Management, Data modelling and data governance
• Understand how to structure and organize data for optimal usability. and data-driven perspective and develop effective solutions.
• Continuously improve data quality by implementing best practices and being a champion for data accuracy.
• Should be able to collaborate effectively and confidently communicate your findings.
• Translate data into compelling stories through stunning visualizations and informative dashboards.
